In preparation for the new district website, I am getting my server earlier than expected. This means I can start my work early and plan for a long summer of transferring all the information from the current site to Joomla. On the plus side, there will be some major improvements.
One big improvement will be management of documents. We have so many of them! Especially on the student services pages. They must have 20-30 documents throughout their 10 or so pages. With Joomla, we will be putting all documents into a common area organized by sections and categories. The files will still be posted on the actual pages, but someone looking for a specific document can go directly to our document area and find it quickly without having to hunt around the website for the proper link or page where the document is located.
